Empower the people of Elmhurst.
At Fundados, we realize that there is a lack of resources for those experiencing homelessness in Elmhurst. The pandemic has brought on many challenges including the loss of jobs, homes, and loved ones. Founded in 2020, Fundados aims to build relationships with those experiencing homelessness in our neighborhood and integrate them back into our community.
Fundados is a program run by volunteers and numerous organizations, brought together by City Mission, providing essential items, and community to those experiencing homelessness in Elmhurst.
Volunteer-driven outreach
Our weekly Wednesday outreach consists of teams of volunteers coming together to distribute essentials to those experiencing homelessness. None of this would be possible without the generosity of our volunteers.
Providing essentials
We aim to provide those experiencing homelessness essential everyday items, such as clothing, hygiene products, and other goods. These donations are handed out to our neighbors experiencing homelessness weekly at our Wednesday Outreach.
Clean Streets Elmhurst
Through Fundados, we are able to provide financial compensation to those that come to our weekly outreach. As we employ those experiencing homelessness that attends our outreach, we are able to also beautify our neighborhood by cleaning the streets! This opportunity is only possible through your donations, and we hope to bring this work opportunity to those experiencing homelessness who are unemployed.
